Kennel dogs.....

I have been at the kennels a lot this past week, and to save me keep having to go back and forth to change the dogs around,I've been taking the whole gang with me,its erm interesting to say the least!
I have adopted (way overdue) a zero tolerance to chasing and winding one another up,as Shady and bug have been a little fractious when hyped up lately.
These pics are a week old,and so are from before Mookie got hurt.
since then I'm back to taking B and Mindy to the kennel while I'm there, leaving them there at lnch and coming home to walk the others at lunch time, then running B and Mindy after work.
B and Mindy come home knackered from the kennels which is always nice :)

So much fuss over a l'il blue spikey hedgehog lol.Everyone wanted it!

The whole gang :)

Can you tell the boys want the toy lol.

Pretty Mindy :)

'HHhhhmmm says Flooz,I want that.'

Check out Floozie's face...'I AM going to have that toy!!'

LMAO......great look Floozie!

Best girl ever!!!!

I love this photo, even though Shady looks scruffy!

Home help..

Tonight I thought I'd start training the girls to open doors. It went very well, they both got it with prompting on their very first go.
Tommorow I'll put a cue to it,so I know what they are really doing versus just tugging on something.
I did get videos and tried uploading them to here, but it has literally been uploading for hours and still nothing,so I have got the hump and cancelled it!

Flyball....

So I have a growing desire to train a dog to do flyball.
I always thought 'oh yeah, can't be that hard, just send the dogs down a row of 4 tiny jumps, get the ball, and back they come, easy!'.
But for the past few months I've been reading a couple of flyball people's blogs, and got to thinking that the sending the dog down 4 jumps, getting the ball and coming back is the easy bit.
Keeping those dogs focused in that hyper stimulating environment, getting those box turns perfect, and matering the art of getting your dog to pass at the right time, now seem much harder.I hadn't even thought about those parts of flyball!
So I'm hatching a plan.I don't want to use any of the 'Dream team',(Shady,Mookie,Floozie) as they are agility dogs.Mindy can't go off lead in anything less than a completly secure environment, and that leaves...........Bug!
Bug,flyball?I'm not sure.
But he does like balls and tugging.I would have to build a working relationship with him,as he's Pete's dog really, but he has always been really responsive to training whenever I've done anything with him.
He's not a fast dog,Mookie kicks his ass when they do lure racing. But it will allow me to learn about flyball.
I think I'm gonna find out about some private lessons to start with. Before I inflict him on the public hehe.

Who wouldn't want this ugly mug on their team?

Woohoo sunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Mookie, she had a cut paw,so whilst the others got to go out on the razzle, either at Blow's Downs or Paradiso, all she got was to go down to mum's and supervise Pete and Patrick working.
They are 'Mindy proofing' the back of mum's garden.6 foot chain link, and a new big iron gate too,HA Mindy get out of that!

She got right into the thick of things.

Then i took Shady and Floozie over to Blow's Downs for a run with Zeesa,Charlotte and Taz.I was a great day for photos.

A girl and her dog.

I asked Zeesa to throw the ball towards me so I could photograph the dogs running towards me,I 'MAY'have said aim at me,what i DIDN'T mean throw it really hard, then watch as it bounces and hits me in the boob lmao!(yep that's what hapened)

Floozie loves her new/old kong. She found it on a walk recently.

'Don't you move kong.I've got my eye on you!!'

We met some nice Whippets whose owner was glad we warned him that the herd of cows was just around the corner.

The dogs trying to work out where Charlotte will appear next?!

Flooz is off exploring.

See her at the top?

See that TINY dot on top of the hill, right in the centre of the shot? That's Charlotte, she's such a nutter, she just goes missing and suddenly appears on top of the hill.

I love the 'steps' which are formedby the elements and the footsteps of all the walkers.

Shady is just so handsome!

More paradiso....

These pics are a couple of weeks ago,I took Flooz,B and Mindy down to Paradiso for a good rampage.i just wanted to wear them out,and enjoy the lovely sunny day.
We played fetch, tug, they went in the river, and just ran and ran and ran...perfect! :O)

'Woohoo best toy ever!' Its an old shoe sole, which they had a right laugh with, the weirdos!!!

'Give me the bottle!!!'

Bug LOVES tyres,he like to jump on them, pull them around, and mostly scream at them!!

Just a hangin around!

Floozie has become really attached to this old red kong which we found on a walk.I love finding toys on walks,I feel it goes some small way to make up for all the balls on ropes which I have thrown and got stuck in various trees over the years, only to have to abandom there to their fate.
